Art House Holidays
25 - 30 June and 8 - 13 September 2010

We’ll be based close to the sea in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a small, historic town a short journey from Jerez and Cádiz.  It’s a place with a rich cultural past and an authentic, easy-going atmosphere, renowned for manzanilla sherry and sea-food.  Sanlúcar’s an ideal creative environment having always been a magnet for Spanish writers and painters as well as famous for its talented classical and flamenco guitarists.
Our location is very attractive, featuring graceful architecture in close proximity to the natural, untamed beauty of the Coto Doñana beaches and parkland.  You’ll find the overall mood quietly magical and unpressurizing.
We’ll be staying in Sanlúcar’s old quarter, home to a tranquil palace, gardens and an ancient bodega.  The town’s central square with its market, fountain and enticing tapas bars is a short walk away, leading onto a long stretch of golden beach at Bajo de Guia – the perfect place for a swim and siesta and to set your imagination free.
